Regal Spur Wins at Ballarat
The 4yo Flying Spur gelding traveled to Ballarat today to take on the Vics in a benchmark 70 handicap over the 1100m, traveling also was stable jockey Todd Pannell.
Although jumping awkwardly, Regal found his feet early and sat just off the pace until entering the straight, Todd, angling Regal Spur to the center of the track looking for the better going before pushing the button. With an impressive final 200 Regal Spur held off the fast finishing favorite to win the race by a long neck margin.
