Promising mare Tres Belle broke her maiden status with authority at Morphettville on Saturday. After easing back at the start from her wide barrier, stable apprentice Alana Livesey expertly steered Tres Belle to the outside upon straightening and let down with a fantastic turn of foot to overhaul her challengers. Speaking to Ryan after the race “To do that at her second start is brilliant, she is still doing a lot wrong in her races but it is exciting knowing she is doing this now, wait until she actually learns what she is doing. It is also exciting because I have her full brother ready to go to the breakers.” Tres Belle overhauled the heavily backed favourite Braveman’sgame to win by a long head bringing up a nice career milestone for Alana with her 100th victory.
