Star South Australian youngster Li’l Kontra continues to take her many owners on the journey of a lifetime.

The Group 3 winning filly is a nomination for Wednesdays $500,000 Catanach’s Jewellers Blue Sapphire Stakes over 1200m.

After a quality return to racing a fortnight ago the filly will head across the border for the first time in her 10 start career that has seen her win or place on all 10 occasions.

Trainer Ryan Balfour said ” It’s the perfect time for her to head across as there is plenty of targets for her against her own age. There’s options each week so we will pick our mark. “

The filly is raced by a large group of mainly South Australians who have been involved with Team Balfour and the horses family such as Cashed and Embecee Lil.

“Dad trained her mother who won 9 for the family so it’s been lovely to have kept the tradition going” Balfour said.
