Smart 4yo mare Mystified aims herself at the Group 3 UBET Proud Miss Stakes over 1200m tomorrow.

Mystified, a winner of 4 from 22 starts ran up to her best with a last start 6th in the Group 1 Sangster. The margin to the winner Shoals just 3.3 lengths after the mare being wide and 9th in the run and on the turn.

The uber consistent mare has been placed 5 of her last 10 and has been aimed at Adelaide’s highest rated mares sprints this season.

Joe Bowditch has been riding well and takes the reins back from Damien Thornton.

Ryan Balfour spoke on the mares preparation and said “Mystified has been excellent in her 3 runs this prep and she fully deserved her crack at the big fillies and mares sprints in SA. I’m expecting her to get a nice run in the race and this rain the past 24 hours is certainly putting a smile on my face.’

‘Her large contingent of owners have enjoyed great success with a mare purchased for just $20,000. It was great to see them all cheering as she entered the straight in the Sangster and I hope they get the chance to do just the same again tomorrow.’

The UBET Proud Miss Stakes is race 5 and commences at 3.16pm in SA.
